The Inner City Classic, founded by Daniel Buggs, is an annual sports event that brings together young athletes from various inner-city communities to compete in football and other sports. Daniel Buggs, a former NFL wide receiver and standout athlete from West Virginia University, established the Inner City Classic to provide opportunities and mentorship for underprivileged youth through sports.

Buggs, known for his remarkable speed and agility, had an illustrious career at West Virginia University, excelling in football, basketball, and track. He set numerous records and was highly regarded for his athletic achievements. After his collegiate career, Buggs played in the NFL, where he continued to make a significant impact on and off the field.

The Inner City Classic, supported by Buggs' non-profit organization The Winning Circle Inc., aims to foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership among young athletes. It includes various age groups and has seen participation from teams across the nation. The event not only emphasizes sportsmanship but also provides educational and motivational sessions to inspire the participants.
